"Intellectual-property policies at most universities don't provide faculty members adequate participation in how their inventions are commercialized" said IPAO founder Renee Kaswan. Together with Alan Bentley, Director of Commercialization for the Cleveland Clinic, they launched a collaborative work-in-progress for an Academic Inventor's Bill of Rights at the 2010 AUTM Annual Conference.
IPAO has published the proposals for your review and feedback. This will be a living document that we hope will inspire continued dialogue between faculty, graduate students, administrators and TTO professionals to more effectively translate university innovation for the benefit of the American public.
